Martha Jean Douglass

Martha Jean Douglass, 83, of Elizabethtown, Ill., passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011, 12:20 p.m. at Hardin County Hospital in Rosiclare. She was born on June 29, 1928 in Mt. Vernon, Ind., the daughter of Merle and Ruby Pearl (Gentry) Reinhardt. Martha Jean married Isaac Douglass in 1953 and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1994. She was owner and operator of Jean's Kitchen and the Dairy Dream in Shawneetown. Martha Jean is survived by three daughters, Angela and Jamie Hollow of Elizabethtown, Carol and Rodger Grace of Shawneetown, Trudy and Tom Johnson of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; two sons, Robert and Dellann Kee of Buffalo Grove, Mike and Peggy Kee of Wheeling; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her sister, Violet M. Koerber; her brother, Billie Jack Smith. Visitation for Martha Jean will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral service will be on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Turner officiating. Burial will be at Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown.
