Michael Ray Bosaw

Michael Ray Bosaw, 74, of Ridgway, Illinois, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 1, 2022 at his home.  Mike was born in Eldorado on September 1, 1947 to the late Cecil and Mildred (West) Bosaw.  He married the former Ellen Kay Howard on November 6, 1970 and she preceded him in death on August 14, 2001.  Mike proudly served his country in the National Guard and was a member of the Ridgway American Legion Post#596.  He retired as a general manager from General Electric at Mt. Vernon, Indiana.  Mike was well known in the Gallatin County community and loved his fellowship with others.  He loved to play golf with his friends.  Mike is survived by two daughters, Amanda and Eric Scherrer of Omaha, Hailey and Stephen Fals of Shawneetown; one son, Jason and Shawna Bosaw of Shawneetown; one sister, Susan and Doyle Wilson of Mt. Zion; five grandchildren, Dawson Scherrer, Jaden Scherrer, Katy Fals, Bree and Josh Berte, Taylor Bosaw; two great grandchildren, Jase and Rori Berte.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one brother, John Kenneth Bosaw.  Visitation for Mike will be held on Thursday, August 4th from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Reverend Tom Sparrow will officiate the service with burial to follow at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
