Molly Ann Scates

Molly Ann Scates, 18, of Duncan Lane Shawneetown, Illinois; passed away at her residence on January 13, 2009 at 9:36 a.m. She was a student at Gallatin County School and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Molly was born in Evansville, Ind., on December 8, 1990 to Charles Anthony "Tony" and Marzel (Mitchell) Scates. She is survived by her parents, Tony and Marzel Scates of Shawneetown; two brothers, Ben Scates of Harrisburg, Will Scates of Shawneetown; grandfather, Harold and Louise Mitchell of Paducah, Ky.; also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents; William and Juanita Scates, and Bonnie Mitchell. Visitation for Molly will be held on Friday, January 16, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown with prayer service at 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shawneetown with Father Mark Stec officiating.
