Nilah Kathleen Fillingim, 80, resident of Ridgway passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. Nilah was born June 1, 1934 in North Manchester, Indiana to the late Chester and Mable (Hinkle) Cook. She was a member of the Ridgway Presbyterian Church and the Red Hats Society. She was a retired teacher, teaching at several Gallatin County Schools. On December 21, 1968 she married Earl A. “Jack” Fillingim who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter; Beth (Lance) Forsberg of Carbondale and two grandchildren; Allison and Ethan Forsberg. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway with Rev. Wade Halva officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 pm Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
