Oneda Haney, 92, of Harrisburg, Illinois, passed away surrounded by her family at her rural home on Sunday, November 1, 2020. She was born in Monroe, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Martin L. Flowers and Grace Allred Flowers-Reeder. Oneda married John Haney on July 12th of 1948 in Morganfield, Kentucky. Sadly, John preceded her in death on February 21, 2015. She was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church until its closing and then attended the Spring Valley Social Brethren Church. Oneda is survived by her ten children, Glendle Haney of Harrisburg, John M. and Melody Haney of Odin, Donald and Vicki Haney of Harrisburg, Sharon Mattingly of Harrisburg, Karen and David Baker of Raleigh, Gary Haney of Crossville, Anita Beth Tison of Harrisburg, Archie and Valery Haney Sr. of Murray, Kentucky, Leisa Horn of McLeansboro, Lyndell and Sheryl Haney; two sisters, Arlene Xanders of Mt. Dora, Florida, Glenda Jackson of McLeansboro; thirty-five grandchildren; fifty great grandchildren; twenty great great grandchildren, Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings, O.D. Flowers, Ava Ann Sutton, Cletus Reeder, Junior Reeded, and Leola Reeder Camden; one grandson, Randall Wayne Haney. There will be a graveside service for Oneda on Thursday, November 5th from 11 a.m. at the Coffee Cemetery near Harrisburg. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery. Reverend Travis Butler will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality will be in charge of the service.
