Pamela Lynn (Belt) Thorsen

Pamela Lynn Thorsen (Belt), age 62, of Kalamazoo passed away September 20th, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family after a battle with liver cancer. Pam had a wealth of coworkers and friends that joined her in the cancer fight.  She was born July 15, 1961 in Eldorado, Illinois to the late Larry and Sharon (Speer) Belt.  Pam was a graduate of Portage Northern High School. She had immense faith and love for God and worshipped at First Baptist Church of Portage. She had served as a youth group leader there and was affectionately known as “Aunt Pam.” Pam also had a love for lakes and the water. She enjoyed swimming, boating, fishing, and spending time at the beach. She liked to listen to music, especially classical hymns, as well as several religious podcasts. Pam had a deep affection to the color purple, shopping at Walmart, and spending time with her family & friends.  Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Sharon Belt.
She is survived by her brothers, Todd Belt and Robert (Jennifer) Belt; nephews and nieces: Christian (Celeste) Belt, Caitlin (Belt) (Levi) Johnson, and Jose Rojas Mata, Savanah Belt, Shelby Belt, and Sydney Belt; and a great-niece, Scarlett Belt.
