Richard Frier Jr.

Richard Frier Jr. 69, of Junction passed away on Monday, November 8, 2010, 12:34 p.m. at Ridgway Manor Nursing Home stemming from an accident that occurred on September 11, 2010. He was born on February 16, 1941 in Shawneetown the son of Richard Sr. and Dollie (Arnold) Frier. Richard married Karen Dillard on November 3, 1962. He was the owner and operator of Frier Trucking and Construction Company. He was also a member of the Ohio Valley General Baptist Church in Shawneetown. Richard enjoyed life and visiting neighbors and friends on his golf cart. He touched many lives by his faith in God. Richard is survived by his wife, Karen Frier of Junction; one daughter, Kimberly Bickett of Shawneetown; one sister, Virginia Case also of Shawneetown; three grandchildren, Jerad and Tiffany Bickett of Ridgway, Alesha and Josh Allen of Harrisburg, and Evan Bickett of Shawneetown; three great grandchildren, Parker Clarida, Luke Allen, and Tate Bickett. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Doris Ann Kilmer. Visitation for Richard will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Gunter officiating. Burial will be at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
