Rita Helen (Womack) Greer

Rita Helen Greer, 88, of Harrisburg, Illinois formerly of Equality, passed away on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.  She was born on March 3rd, 1936 in Equality, the eldest daughter of the late John William and Madeline V. (Harrelson) Womack.  Rita Helen was married to William Daniel “Bill” Greer who preceded her in death on April 13th, 2024.  She was a  book keeper for Kmart in Harrisburg.  Rita Helen was a long time member of the Equality United Methodist Church.  She is survived by her two sisters, Beverly and Jerry Black of Harrisburg, Pamela and John Waller of Harrisburg.  Rita Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her niece, Debra K. Stubbs.  There will be a private graveside service on Tuesday, October 8th,  2024 at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality with John B. Jones officiating the service.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality will be in charge of the service.
