Ronnie Eugene Milligan

Ronnie Eugene Milligan, 79, of Harrisburg, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 6:52 a.m., at the Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehab in Carrier Mills, Ill.   He was born on July 28, 1938 in Equality, the son of the late Cecil and Mildred I. (Mahan) Milligan.  Ronnie was a retired Army Vietnam Veteran and retired as an engineer inspector for NASA.  He was a member of the Equality McLain-Glover Legion Post #595.  Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Lora Milligan of Los Angeles, Cal.; his son, Ricky and Dorothy Milligan of San Antonio, Tex.; two sisters, Iris and Bruce Gowan of Equality, Connie Williams of Shawneetown; one brother, Thomas Milligan of Equality; two grandchildren, Joshua Milligan, Bethany True Milligan.  Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Cecil “Mus” Milligan Jr.  Visitation for Ronnie will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.   The Rev. Marshall Glover will be officiating the service.  Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality with military rites.  Donations in Ronnie’s memory may be made to the Elmwood Cemetery.
