Ruby Faye "Toots" Allen

Ruby Faye "Toots" Allen, 81, of 338 Edwards St., Omaha, IL; passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at 6:32 a.m. at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Ruby was born on August 23, 1926 to Freeman David and Gladys Matilda (Akers) Allen in Omaha. Ms. Allen worked for thirty-seven years at the National City Bank of Evansville and retired as Senior Vice-President of the loan department in 1990. She was a member of New Hope General Baptist Church. Ruby is survived by sisters, Rosalie Rodgers of Omaha and Ruth Noon of Mt. Vernon, IN. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Ralph Wayne and George Freeman Allen. Visitation for Ruby will be on Saturday, September 15th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 16th at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Todd White officiating. Burial will be at Palestine Two Cemetery near Omaha.
