Ruby Lee (Rushing) Tucker

Ruby Lee Tucker, 93, of Junction, Illinois passed away after an extended illness on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 at the Eldorado Nursing and Rehab Healthcare in Eldorado.  She was born in Marion, Kentucky on March 25th, 1931 the daughter of the late Henry Guy Rushing and Lola May Rushing Bush.  Ruby married Charles J. “Red” Tucker on August 21st, 1981.  Sadly, Red preceded Ruby in death on December 10th, 2008.  A Christian in faith Ruby belonged to the Pisgah General Baptist Church.  She is survived by her son, Danny and Janet Marshall of Old Shawneetown; her sister, San Dee Brown of Hudson, Florida; loving nieces, Liz and Rick Davenport of Harrisburg, Connie and Oziel Hernandez, Samantha and Brandon Gross and nephew, Rick and June Rushing, all of Shawneetown and several other nieces and nephews; three step children, David Wilson, Cheryl Norstrum, and Kim Hampton; four grandchildren, Gwyn Marshall of Shawneetown, Bryan Marshall of El Paso, Texas, Stuart Marshall of Harrisburg, and Austin Miller of Sturgis, Kentucky; and eight great grandchildren.  Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Michael and Jerry Marshall; one grandson, Jerry Wayne Marshall; five brothers, Bill, Wayne, Kenneth, Charlie and Henry Rushing.  Visitation for Ruby will be held on Monday, February 10th from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Burial will follow the funeral service at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.  Donations in Ruby’s memory may be made to Westwood Cemetery.
