Ruth Ann (Loveless) Harris

Ruth Ann Harris, 85, of Equality, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at 4:32 p.m. at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.  She was born on July 11, 1934 in Pike County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Hovey and Eva (Selby) Loveless.  Ruth married Paul Victor Harris on September 11, 1953.  Mr. Harris preceded Ruth in death on April 4, 2000.  She retired after thirty years from Fountain View Nursing Home Laundry Department.  Also she was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Oakland City, Indiana and Equality Tuesday Club.   Ruth is survived by her loving family, one daughter, Anita and Edward Long of Crawfordsville, Indiana; five sons, Tim and Lynn Harris of Galatia, Mark and Melinda Harris of Harrisburg, Keith and Nancy Harris of Harrisburg, Hovey Lee and Kathy Harris of Crossville, Tracy Harris of Bryant, Arkansas; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Kevin Ray Harris and one brother, Ralph Loveless.  There will be a private graveside service at Tates  Chapel Cemetery near Galatia.  Donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to Tates Chapel Church.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality in charge of arrangements.
