Sarah Jane Oldham

Sarah Jane Oldham, 66, of 11390 Oldham Road, Shawneetown, Ill., passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009, 7:15 p.m., at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born on December 26, 1942 in Eldorado to Richard H. and Helen Grace (Jones) Wiggins. Sarah married Jesse E. Oldham Sr. on October 5, 1963. She worked as billing clerk for Home Health at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg. Sarah is survived by her husband Jesse E. Oldham Sr. of Shawneetown; three sons, Jesse E. " Jay Ed" and Carol Oldham Jr. of Great Falls, Mont., James R. "Jim" and Rita Oldham of Murray, Ky., John R. "Bob" Oldham of Jacksonville, Ark.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation for Sarah will be held on Monday, October 12, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jim Howard officiating with burial at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
