Sharon Earlene (Lampert) Kingston

February 1, 1945 — August 10, 2012

Sharon Earlene Kingston, 67, of Harrisburg, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012, 12:10 p.m. at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion.  She was born on February 1, 1945 in Shawneetown, the daughter of Floyd and Hazel Louise (Awalt) Lampert.  Sharon served our country in the Army  during  Vietnam and Desert Storm  and retired from the Army.  She was a member of the American Legion Post #2910.  Sharon is survived by her son, Wesley Kingston of Equality; daughter, Lynn Rickenberg of Chester; sister, Thetna Nesbitt of Wyoming, Mich.; and brother, Edgar Lynn Lampert of Omaha.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Tina and Pennie Kingston; son, Scott Koval; one sister, Alta Ruth Moore; two brothers, Thomas Awalt and Otis Wayne Lampert.  Visitation for Sharon will be held from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Bro.  Jonathan Stevens and  Bro. Bernie Emery will officiate.  Burial with military rites at Elmwood Cemetery near Equality.   Internet condolences may be made at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com .
