Stacie Michelle (Pennington) Gordon

Stacie Michelle Gordon, 49, of Shawneetown, Illinois, passed away after a courageous fight against cancer on Saturday, January 18, 2020.  She has received her wings in Heaven.  Stacie was born on September 2, 1970 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Frank and Cynthia Marcella (Bowles) Pennington.  On July 1, 2005 she married Charlie Gordon, who survives.  Stacie worked for many years at the Shawnee Quik Mart and later across the river at Smokin’ Joe’s near Sturgis, Kentucky.  She is survived by her husband, Charlie Gordon of Shawneetown; one son, Ben and Harlie Gordon of Herrin; one brother, Frank and Mandy Pennington of Ridgway; one sister- in-law, Bessie Pennington of Ridgway; several nieces and nephews.  Stacie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Pennington and Cynthia Marcella Bowles Logsdon; one brother, Richard Lee Pennington.  Visitation for Stacie will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd from 9 a.m. until service time 12 p.m. (Noon) at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  As per her wishes she will be cremated and interned at a later date at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.  Memorials may be made to the family.
