Trendell George Lindsay

Rev. Trendell G. Lindsay, 84, of Equality, Ill., passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018, 11:45 a.m. at the Baptist Health in Paducah, Ky.  He was born in Briceville, Tenn. on October 2, 1934, the son of the late Richard and Ruth (Duncan) Lindsay.  Trendell married Myrna Joyce Grace on August 5, 1961 and Myrna preceded Trendell in death on January 11, 2010.  He married Juanita Faye Ozee on March 12, 2010.  Trendell was a member of the Bible Church in Karbers Ridge and an Army veteran.  He is survived by his wife, Faye Lindsay of Equality; son, Deon and Kim Lindsay of McLeansboro; son, Leon Lindsay of Equality; daughter, Zandra and Rev. Charles Waggoner of Norris City; son,  Daryl Lindsay of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Charlotte Hale of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren.  Trendell was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Myrna; six brothers and three sisters.  Visitation for Trendell will be held on Tuesday, December 4th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.  Funeral service will be the following day on Wednesday, December 5th at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Morse and Rev. Harold Miller officiating.  Burial will be at the Cottage Grove Cemetery near Eldorado with military rites by the Ridgway American Legion Post #596.
