Twila R. Miner, 89, of Omaha, IL, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019, 7:20 a.m., at the Eldorado Rehab and Healthcare in Eldorado. She was born in the small Bowlesville, IL community on March 4, 1930, the daughter of the late Sherman and Nell Mae (Thompson) Stacy. Twila married Carl O. Miner on December 31, 1948 and Carl preceded her in death on December 12, 2006. Carl and Twila owned and operated the Miners Home Furnishing in Carmi. She was a faithful member of the Omaha General Baptist Church. Twila cherished, loved, and lived for her family. She is survived by her loving family, two daughters, Margaret “Corky” and Tom Cole of Vienna, Judy and Gary Holland of Omaha; one grandson, Eric and Amy Cole of Vienna; one granddaughter, Tonya Jo and Greg Frehner of Vienna; five great grandchildren, Kaylen Thomas of Marion, Jamee Cole of Vienna, Ashlyn Cole of Marion, Austin Cole of Vienna, and Knox Frehner of Vienna. Twila was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Ruby Micas and Virginia Sparks; two brothers, Robert H. and Charles S. Stacy. Visitation for Twila will be held on Sunday, June 23rd from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Pastor Jason Miner will be officiating and burial will follow at the Palestine II Cemetery near Omaha. Donations in Twila’s memory may be made to the Palestine II Cemetery.
