Vickie D. Stubbs

Vickie Stubbs, 58, of 1304 Green St. Harrisburg, IL formerly of Shawneetown, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 4:50 p.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born to Robert and Thelma (Hobbs) Little on April 14, 1948 in Harrisburg, IL. Vickie married Finch Stubbs on May 2, 1970 who survives. She was a retired legal secretary for Rath, Andrus, Nelson Law Firm and also worked for the FBI in Washington D.C. and the U. S. Coast Guard. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Equality, IL. She is survived by husband, Finch Stubbs of Harrisburg, IL; two daughters, Shelley Stubbs of Carbondale, IL and Dana Stubbs of Marble Head, MO; one step son, Artie and Debra Stubbs of Harrisburg, IL and two brothers, Frank Smith of Harrisburg, IL and Terry Sammons of Beaverton, Michigan; and one grand daughter Nichole Stubbs. Visitation will be Thursday, November 9, 2006 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral services will be Friday, November 10, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Ron Johnson will be officiating the service with burial at Westwood Cemetery. Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
