Wilma Bernice Patton, 93, of West Frankfort, Illinois, formerly of Omaha passed away at her home after an extended illness on Thursday, November 19th , 2020 at 5:15 a.m. She was born in the small community of Junction, Illinois on November 30th, 1926, the daughter of the late Guy and Madeline (Ellis) Moore. Wilma married the love of her life, Reverend Joe Patton on September 20th, 1945. They were happily married until his death on November 13th, 2019. They our united once more in heaven. She assisted in Joe’s ministry thru the years and her last home church was the Cavalry Baptist Church in West Frankfort. She will be missed by her Omaha community and her family and friends. Wilma is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Vickie and Jim Johnson of West Frankfort; three sons, Phillip Dean Patton of Lebanon, Ohio, Steve Patton of Marion, Tony and Debbie Patton of Chesapeake Bay, Delaware; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five sisters, Mary Hartsburg, Ann Blaize, Irene Mitchell, Helen Brinkley, and Ruth Wiltshire; four brothers, Charles, Glen, Bill and Clarence Moore; and one great great granddaughter. There will be a private family service at the Bethlehem Cemetery. Donations in Wilma’s memory may be made to the Bethlehem Cemetery.
