Wilma Ruth (Crane) Wallace

Wilma Ruth Wallace, 89, of Shawneetown, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 15, 2013, 6:00 p.m. She was born on December 9, 1923 in Shawneetown, the daughter of Ernest and Della (Putman) Crane. Wilma married Otis Delbert Wallace on February 24, 1944 in Medford, Ore., he preceded her in death on January 22, 2007. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Cox and Fonda Wallace, both of Shawneetown; one grandson, Jeff and Julie Cox of Franklin, Tenn.; one great granddaughter, Sophia Grace Cox; two great grandsons, Judah and Wyatt Cox; and several nieces and nephews. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Ida Vaughn and Lucille Winters; three brothers, Herman, Wilbur and Dale Crane. Visitation for Wilma will be held on Wednesday, September 18 ^th from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown followed by a graveside service at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown with Pastor Jack Hall officiating.
