Yvonne (Rummele) Shafer

Yvonne Rummele Shafer, 60, of Quinton, Ala., formerly of Equality, Ill. passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013, 4:47 a.m. at the Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala. She was born on March 26, 1953 in Harrisburg, the daughter of John and Frances (Bradley) Rummele. Yvonne is survived by her husband, Lewis Perry of Quinton, Ala.; daughter, Jamie Shaffer of Herrin, Jerry Ray and Pam Barnard of Harrisburg; mother, Frances and Ed Sieverding of Equality; five sisters, Johnna and Bob McPeek of Carmi, Carla Perry of Duluth, Minn., Barb and John Skuzinski of Zimmerman, Minn., Linda Rummele of Chicago, Mary LeRoy and Jerry Hedgepath of Sturgis, Ky; one brother, Tom and Audrey Rummele of Amsterdam, Neatherlands; five step sisters and one step brother; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and twin infant sisters, Margaret and Theresa Rummele. Visitation for Yvonne will be held on Sunday, September 8 ^th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. Funeral service will be on Monday, September 9 ^th at 10 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Father Steven Beatty officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery near Equality.
