Zelma Vivian Riley, 86, of West Posey Ave., Shawneetown, passed away on June 19, 2008 at 1:45 a.m. at her home surrounded by her husband and children. She was born in Kedron, Illinois on June 3, 1922 to James Wallace and Lucy (Dorsey) McIntire. Vivian married Chester Riley on August 24, 1950. She was a member of Equality United Methodist Church. Vivian was a loving wife, mother and grandma. She is survived by husband, Chester; five children, June and Dean Stout of Uniontown, Ky., Jerry and Patty Riley of Shawneetown, Brenda Snider and fiance, Larry Wood of Shawneetown, Terry and Vickie Riley of Carbondale, Larry and Trisha Riley of Henderson, Ky.; special niece, Kay and John Johnson of Shawneetown; her sister, Virginia Murray of Peoria; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Vivian was preceded in death by four sisters, Alma McCluskey, Alice Barnett, Alta Winters, and Jane Fuhr; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation for Vivian will be Friday, June 20th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Saturday, June 21st at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Cave-In-Rock. Donations in memory of Vivian may be made to Friends of Jesus Fund.
